How it began

Gluon is website for booking tutors personally. It's an experience built for students by students,
Delivered by tools designed for tutors by tutors.

Tutors in Auckland wanted to find a way to make tutoring easier and more accessible.

How it went

After searching through multiple plugins to manage the booking, a booking system Amelia was selected to manage the bookings.

The downside however was that payments wouldn't automatically be transferred to the tutor. This was solved by integrating stripe connect into the Amelia Plugin.

This required some custom php code using the stripe connect docs and customizing the Amelia Plugin. If you would like the source code to this customization linking Amelia and Stripe Connect, contact me.
